Ledlenser AF8R Work Rechargeable Area Light 4000 Lumens

The Ledlenser AF8R Work is a 4000 lumen rechargeable floodlight with a 95 metre beam, the mid-size light in Ledlenser’s AF Work range. Its square LED panel is built to light a whole room, loft, plant room or section of site rather than a single job, and it is aimed at plumbers and heating engineers, electricians, builders, painters and anyone who needs proper area lighting that still carries in one hand.

Like the AF4R Work, it uses Hybrid Power: run it on the built-in battery where there is no socket, or plug it into the mains for as long as the job lasts, and it charges while it runs on mains. Colour temperature adjusts in five steps from a warm 3000K to a cool 6500K, and Ledlenser’s Multi-Concentrated Light sets the LEDs in a reflector grid that puts the light onto the work and cuts glare at the edges. A clip-on diffuser spreads it into soft, even light, and a memory function brings it back on at the last setting used.

Five brightness levels run from 4000 lumens for 1 hour 30 minutes down to 500 lumens for 14 hours on battery. The lamp head tilts within the fold-out handle, so the light can stand on the floor and be aimed up or across a room, hang from its handle, or fix to steel with the magnet. The 275mm aluminium housing is rated IP67 against dust and water, drop tested to 1.5 metres and weighs 1870g. It comes in a hard carry case with a power adapter and USB-C charging cable.

Warranty

Ledlenser cover the AF8R Work with a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty as standard. Register the light online with Ledlenser within 12 weeks of purchase and the warranty is extended to 7 years. You will need the warranty card from the box and the 10-digit serial number printed on the light, and you should keep your proof of purchase, as Ledlenser may ask for it when a claim is made.

Warranty Exclusions

The built-in rechargeable battery is covered for 2 years for proper function, and the gradual loss of capacity that comes with age and use is not a fault. The warranty does not cover general wear and tear, misuse, unauthorised alterations or repairs, cases, charging cables, surface coatings or embossing.
