Ledlenser AF4R Work Rechargeable Area Light 2000 Lumens

The Ledlenser AF4R Work is a compact 2000 lumen area light that runs on its built-in rechargeable battery or straight from the mains. Ledlenser call this Hybrid Power, and the AF4R Work is the smallest light in their AF Work range to have it: use it on battery where there is no socket, plug it in for as long as the job takes, and it charges while it runs on mains. It is built for painters, electricians, plasterers and anyone lighting a room, fuse board or workbench rather than a single spot.

Colour temperature is adjustable in five steps from a warm 3000K to a cool 6500K, so you can match the light to the room or switch to cool white to check paintwork and finishes. Ledlenser’s Multi-Concentrated Light sets the LEDs in a reflector grid that directs the light onto the work and cuts glare at the edges, and a clip-on diffuser softens it further when you need even, shadow-free light. A memory function starts the light on the last setting you used, and a lock stops it switching on in transit.

Five brightness levels run from 2000 lumens for 2 hours down to 200 lumens for 20 hours on battery. The fold-out handle doubles as a stand, so the light can be angled on the floor or a bench, hung from its handle, or fixed to steel with the magnet on the back. The 266mm aluminium housing is rated IP67 against dust and water, drop tested to 1.5 metres and weighs 1370g. It comes in a hard carry case with a power adapter and USB-C charging cable.

Warranty

Ledlenser cover the AF4R Work with a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty as standard. Register the light online with Ledlenser within 12 weeks of purchase and the warranty is extended to 7 years. You will need the warranty card from the box and the 10-digit serial number printed on the light, and you should keep your proof of purchase, as Ledlenser may ask for it when a claim is made.

Warranty Exclusions

The built-in rechargeable battery is covered for 2 years for proper function, and the gradual loss of capacity that comes with age and use is not a fault. The warranty does not cover general wear and tear, misuse, unauthorised alterations or repairs, cases, charging cables, surface coatings or embossing.
